Cartoon Lion Cookie Jar - Everyday Life
This piece is the "Everyday Life" choice for our Portfolio Module at SWC. When given the category I tried to remember any unique looking objects from around my house and one of the first I thought of was this weird Cookie Jar we have sitting somewhat ominously in our Kitchen. Decided to create him and render him alongside some generic fake confectionery. This was the first piece where I had a real life analogue to work from and so the focus was to recreate the model, the damage and the paint job as accurately as possble in which I believe I have done a sufficient enough job in the time worked on it, though If I had more time I would spend it making the paint strokes look more authentic as they're quite rich in the real piece.
The Jar by itself felt like too little so I modelled some basic confectionery to fit with it in the final renders.
The Rats in the real life piece are just heads with tails which always looked weird to me as from the front it just looked like the Lion had taken their heads off, adding to the slightly unnerving nature of it. I amended this and gave them bodies.
"Groovies", "Nonagon Cookies" (King Gizz was in my head, sue me) , "Genero" Bars, "CocoMocoRoco" "Yodacakes" and GooGooBars (don't sue me because they are apparently not something AlChestbreach just made up).
