The "Childhood" Piece for my Portfolio Module at SWC. The Piece is based off of a Hot Water Bottle holder in my house as a kid whose arms got separated and I essentially thought of as a teddy bear when I was very young, being my favourite thing to play around with.
Decided to sculpt him for this piece and unfortunately I've had to make him as fast as possible as I'm nearing the deadline for the year. I did almost all the work for him in ZBrush and then UV'd him in Maya. I tried making use of a Stylized Fur Brush and some spray tools to create the hair across his body but the fur models were a bit too big to give off the right impression on the model and so I smoothed them for some deformation on the mesh and left the rest up to the texture. Also wanted to focus giving him the more worn look he has in the present day with some stitching. I would possibly like to redo him when I have time and see if I can cover his body in hair cards or something similar to replicate more fur and give him some loose threads with some modelled stitching.
